What is Holistic Mental Wellness?

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Noelle, the founder of Returning to Violet! My mission is to facilitate a virtual safe space and collection of healing services to support your mental wellness. I believe in providing tangible evidence-based, yet easy, and fun tools that help you experience more presence, bliss, and joy in your daily life.

This a space to dive into daily glimpses of that warm fuzzy feeling as often as possible. Each time you have a new experience of joy or peace, your nervous system creates neural pathways which lift us from the darker shadows of the mind and clear your energy to embrace more lightness. This is the journey of returning to violet.

Returning to Violet’s model of Holistic Mental Wellness is influenced by both personal and professional wisdom. I am grateful for my personal experiences which allow me to understand the needs of many and empathize with a vast array of experiences. I specialize in holistic approaches to issues such as trauma, bereavement, neurodivergence, inner child, depression, anxiety, and sexual assault. My formal education and training allow me to support you from my background as an adolescent behavioral health registered nurse, yoga/meditation teacher, hypnotherapist, herbalist and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner student.

My philosophy is influenced by the nursing care model, nursing research, neuroscience, yoga practices and philosophy, Buddhist meditation, Mindfulness Self Compassion, Abraham Hicks, Joe Dispenza, and so on.

Holistic Mental Wellness

Despite the common assumption, holistic wellness isn’t all about sage and crystals (although if that’s your thing, cool!). It’s about understanding people as multi-faceted, ever-evolving beings who have rich, nuanced experiences. These areas of life intersect and overlap to create our general emotions at any given moment. Taking a whole-person approach to wellness is key to helping human beings live their most authentic and fulfilling lives.

Think of your healing journey as enriching the soil you’re growing in. If your soil has been running dry for a while, it might not be an instantaneous bloom. Mental wellness is not a quick fix to chronic issues like we’ve been told or sold on. It requires daily devotion and I’m not gonna bullsh*t you about that. However, we are completely capable of creating new neural pathways and ultimately rewiring our nervous system. I call it a journey because it is a process of altering your physical reality. Change is not usually comfortable. I am here as your guide to support you but I believe your mind/body/soul is its own healer! Together, we will learn how to tune in and listen to your body’s responses to get your mental wellness routine ‘just right,’ and aligned with your intentions.

My approach utilizes evidence from traditional mental healthcare and psychopharmacology. However, it also seeks to fill in ways these systems may fall short. A holistic approach recognizes mental health conditions as biological, physiological, and spiritual conditions. For this reason, holistic treatments may complement traditional mental health treatment to achieve authentic wellness. Holistic Mental Wellness considers the many aspects of holistic wellness…

Mental wellness is the ability to think, feel, and act in ways that create a positive impact on your life. Mentally well people have high self-assessment of their abilities. They feel in control of their thoughts, emotions, and behavior. They feel empowered to cope with life’s challenges, connect with others, and have FUN. The greater investment in your mental wellness, the larger the ripple effect it will have on your external reality! An investment in your mental wellness is an investment in your long-term success.

As a holistic practitioner, I am interested in hearing your personal story to determine which services will help you meet your goals.
